Again, I'd like to take a moment to measure progress against my
stated objectives as of this time last year. I have accomplished, to a satisfying degree, 3 of the 6 points on the list, thus bettering the benchmark I set for myself: I completed a course in Business Administration at a local college, my wife and I took a course in basic self defense, and I have been surgically sterilized. Unfortunately, I feel that much of my performance this year showed a lack of discipline, so I am attempting to set goals this year that are somewhat less vague and easily obtainable. Specifically, I am hereby committing myself, under the divine Geas of my own Satanic oath, to accomplish to my full satisfaction at least 3 of the following tasks:
- Exercise daily, losing weight and gaining muscle.
- Write daily, including at least a bi-weekly update to this blog.
- Devote some time to practicing the Finnish language daily.
- Start and run a profitable small business.
- Get a job which can support my wife and myself independent of our parents.
- Move to Vancouver.
Let us see what the future holds.
